1. Privacy policy
- The HKU Marathon Team Organising Committee
(hereinafter referred to as “the Organising
Committee”, “we” and “us”) collects your personal
information when you register as a member of the HKU
Marathon Team. Personal information collected may
include, but is not limited to, your name, HKID /
Passport number, email address and phone number.
All the personal information provided by you is
treated as strictly confidential, and the personal
information is for administrative and communication
purposes, e.g. Marathon activities and HKU news,
courses, giving initiatives, etc. The Organising
Committee will not disclose any personal information
to external bodies outside The University of Hong
Kong (HKU) unless you have been informed, or the
Organising Committee is required to do so by law.
- When you register as an HKU Marathon Team
member, the Organising Committee will forward your
name, HKID / Passport number, and the Standard
Chartered Marathon Reference Number / Race Number to
the Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association (organiser
of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon) for
authentication purposes.
- When you register your family member(s) and
friend(s) for the HKU Marathon Team on their behalf,
you are confirming to us that your family member(s)
and friend(s) have authorised you to share their
personal information and data with us, and that the
information is accurate and correct.
2. Enquiries and change of registration data
Team members have the right to access and correct
their personal information held by us. Please send your request by
email to marathon@hku.hk.
3. HKU Marathon Team’s website: links to other websites
The HKU Marathon Team’s website contains links to
third party websites that are not maintained, administered or
operated by the HKU Marathon Team Organising Committee. Hence, we do
not bear any responsibility for the accuracy of information
contained in these websites. Linking to any of these websites is,
therefore, at the users’ own risk.
