United We Run --- let's applaud 2,200 runners and the support team of over 300 students, staff and alumni at the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon on January 25, 2015. Professor Peter Mathieson, President and Vice-Chancellor, participated in the Leaders Cup for the first time. Of those 2,200 runners, 50 have joined the HKU Marathon Team for ten consecutive years from 2006 to 2015.

− Medical alumna Angela Leung: First runner-up in Full Marathon (Women's Master 2)
− Education alumna Rachel Sproston: Second runner-up in Half Marathon (Women's Master 1)
− Science student Yu Wai-hon: Second runner-up in Half Marathon (Men's Junior)
− 77-year-old alumnus Kwong Hung-piu is the most senior runner who has joined the HKU Marathon Team for ten years

− A big THANK YOU to over 12,000 runners and 2,700 Support Team members who have joined the HKU Marathon Team in the past 10 years.

Special thanks also go to Institute of Human Performances (IHP) for training; HKU Bachelor of Chinese Medicine (Full-time) Alumni Association for the therapeutic service on the race day; MSc(ECom&IComp) Programme Office and alumni; and the Development & Alumni Affairs Office for organising; and Xtep for sponsoring the Team's uniform.
